Job Description

Our client based in Aberdeen are looking for a Pressure Test Assistant to join their team on a temp to perm basis.

Job Summary
The Pressure Test Assistant will work closely with the Pressure Test Lead on the maintenance, servicing, and pressure testing of offshore rental equipment. The role requires safe, efficient, and excellent quality work. The role will also include participation in other required workshop activities such as equipment preparation and maintenance, loading and unloading of offshore containers and general housekeeping

Duties
• Actively participate in a team environment
• Effectively act upon instructions and safely deliver upon assigned work tasks
• Ensure all rental equipment is serviced, tested and maintained in accordance with company standards and procedures
• Maintenance of equipment (such as assembly and dis-assembly, paint spraying, shot blasting, pressure testing)
• Ensure that servicing and upkeep of all equipment is to the highest standard, to provide the best service quality and service to our customers
• Ensure that all equipment assigned to a job is maintained and fully certified as per company procedures
• Liaise with relevant teams/departments to ensure all projects fulfil customer requirements and to ensure on time delivery and service quality
• Ensuring tasks are completed to ISO 9001 standards
• Informing Workshop Foreman/Pressure Test Lead of problems within the department
• Ensure workshop and immediate work areas are always kept in a tidy and organised manor
• Assist with the reporting and filing of all maintenance and test records, ensuring they are kept up to date
• Identify and isolate faulty equipment, complete failure reports and inform management of any reported defects
• Provide cover in the absence of the Pressure Test Lead
• Participate in workshop on-call rota
• Attend other work sites if required
• to Secondary School Education level.

Desired Qualities/Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience:
• Previous experience in a workshop environment preferred but not essential
• Experience with Pressure Testing and valve and fitting identification preferred but not essential
• Be computer-literate to beginner’s level in MS Word, Excel and Outlook Email packages.
• Forklift Truck operation certification preferred but not essential.
